Three Men Plead Guilty To Westchester Robbery Spree

An investigation into a burglary spree in Westchester led to the arrests of three men who will all spend time behind bars after pleading guilty to their various roles in robbing several residential apartment buildings in Yonkers. Yonkers residents Darnell Echols, 28, and Rajad Daily, 29, pleaded guilty on Tuesday to eight counts of second-degree burglaries while jury selection for their trial was underway in Westchester County Court.

Man Who Worked At School In Westchester Charged With Forcible Touching

A part-time custodian at an elementary school in Westchester has been arrested and charged with forcibly touching a minor, though few details have been released. Yonkers resident Raphael De Souza, 24, who worked part-time at Columbus Elementary School in New Rochelle, has been charged with two misdemeanor counts of forcible touching, for incidents reportedly involving a student.

Inmate From Westchester Accused Of Assaulting Officer At County Jail

The incident took place on Wednesday, Oct. 3, when Christopher McGormen, 36, of Yonkers, was misbehaving in a clinic area and needed to be restrained, said Justin D. Pruyne, Deputy Commissioner of Correction. McGormen had been previously been in the jail's custody for a violation of the terms of his probation and assault in the third degree Pruyne said.

A 20-year-old man from Westchester is set to spend the better part of a decade behind bars after admitting to his role in a shooting incident in Yonkers more than two years ago. Diamante Powell of Yonkers pleaded guilty on Tuesday to second-degree attempted murder for shooting his victim during an early morning incident on Prospect Street in Yonkers, leaving him hospitalized.
