A Westchester man is going to spend more than a decade behind bars following his sentencing for misfiring his gun, missing his intended target, and striking a 4-year-old girl in the leg while he was a teenager. Yonkers resident Floyd Bruce, now 21, was sentenced in Westchester County Court to 15 years in prison following his guilty plea last year.

Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino, Jr. announced on Friday that 32-year-old Heriberto Morales of Yonkers has been charged by a grand jury in a seven-count indictment that was released this week. The Yonkers Police Department received a report at approximately 8:20 a.m. on July 16, of a dead body that was found alongside the shoulder of the eastbound lanes of Tuckahoe Road with multiple gunshot wounds near the I-87 overpass.
