NHLPA Helps Yonkers Hockey Players Reach Their ‘Goals And Dreams’

Some of the youngest athletes had their "goals and dreams" realized as they teamed with the National Hockey League Players' Association to form one of Westchester's newest sports teams. Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano announced that the newly formed Yonkers Force Youth Hockey team has received a donation of 25 brand new sets of hockey equipment from the NHL Players' Association's Goals and Dreams fund.

Yonkers Officials Introduce $400K In Clean Energy, Transportation Projects

Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano and Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced the completion of more than $400,000 of clean energy projects throughout the city, including new solar and wind-powered lighting at the popular John F. Kennedy Marina. The project is part of Cuomo's "Five Cities Energy Plans" initiative, which is designed to increase energy efficiency and clean energy resources in the state's largest cities.
