Scarsdale Police Bust Woman For DWI After Breaking Up Fight Outside Church

Scarsdale police officers had to break up a fight outside a local church involving an allegedly drunk woman from Yonkers whose passengers forced her to pull over when she began driving erratically. Officers were dispatched to Hitchcock Church on Greenacres Avenue shortly after 2 a.m. on Monday morning, where there was a report of an altercation in progress between two parties.

Motorist Busted In Scarsdale With Multiple Suspensions On License

A motorist from Yonkers with multiple suspensions on his license was busted by police in Scarsdale after being caught going nearly double the posted speed limit on Post Road. Patrol officers conducting speed enforcement on Post Road at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Saturday night stopped 33-year-old Yonkers resident Woodraw Yoon when he was spotted driving nearly 50 mph in a 30 mph zone.

City of Yonkers has Westchester’s Best Water on Tap

Westchester's best-tasting water flows from faucets in the City of Yonkers, according to an impartial panel of pedestrians who sipped their way through the Westchester County Department of Health's annual water taste test today in White Plains. One hundred twenty eight people sampled water from 10 of the county's water suppliers on Martine Avenue in White Plains and then voted for their favorite without knowing where it was from.

Westchester Water Pressure Issues ‘Should Be Resolved,’ County Says

"Residents in Yonkers, Mount Vernon, Scarsdale, Larchmont and the Town and Village of Mamaroneck may have experienced low or no water pressure this morning," Caren Halbfinger, the Director of Public Affairs for the Westchester County Health Department said in a statement. "The issue has now been resolved and the water remains safe to use.
