U.S. playwright Neil Simon, who became one of Broadway's most prolific and popular playwrights as he combined humor, drama and introspection in works such as "The Odd Couple," "The Goodbye Girl" and "Lost in Yonkers," died on Sunday at the age of 91, the New York Times reported, citing his publicist. MGM buying Yonkers, N.Y., casino, says it’s still committed to Bridgeport

Saying it remains committed to developing a resort casino in Bridgeport, MGM Resorts International announced today it's acquiring Empire City, a racetrack casino in Yonkers, N.Y., for $850 million. MGM Resorts proposed a Bridgeport casino last year, announcing it intended to push for the state legislature to establish a competitive-bidding process for a commercial casino license.

Man Extradited For Murder Charge May Be Linked To Yonkers Murder
