A 28-year-old police officer was sentenced to a one-year conditional discharge after pleading guilty to harassment for putting a woman in a chokehold while off duty last year in Northern Westchester. Federal charges have been dropped against a Westchester County neurologist who was among six charged in an alleged $57 million health care fraud scheme that spanned more than a decade. The U.S. Attorney's Office has dropped the case against Emad Soliman, a New Castle resident who practices in Yonkers who had been charged in an alleged 12-year-scheme to "defraud Medicaid, Medicare and other private health insurance companies out of more than $50 million."
