Off-Duty Cop Admits To Putting Woman In Chokehold In Northern Westchester

A 28-year-old police officer was sentenced to a one-year conditional discharge after pleading guilty to harassment for putting a woman in a chokehold while off duty last year in Northern Westchester. Troopers stopped a vehicle on Route 17 in the Town of Monroe for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law at about 1:10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 23.
