Bronxville High School Habitat For Humanity Helps Build Affordable Housing

After spending a weekend helping rebuild two homes for Yonkers veterans , the Bronxville High School Habitat for Humanity Club continued to pay it forward, raising additional money for the organization during homecoming. During homecoming, the Habitat for Humanity Club raised more than $300 by allowing families to make a $5 donation to sign 2-by-4-foot pieces of wood that will be used to build additional affordable housing moving forward.

Yonkers Students Benefit From Junior League Of Bronxville ‘Dorm Room Drive’

More than two dozen graduating high school seniors will be heading to college with everything needed to properly fix up a dorm room this fall, courtesy of the Junior League of Bronxville, Mount Vernon's Guidance Center of Westchester and the Yonkers Partners in Education "Dorm Room Drive." After collecting donations from Junior League members and the community over the past few months, 26 students in Yonkers have been outfitted with all the college essentials that they need to kickstart their post-graduation careers.

Legislators Burrows, Marcotte Announce Major Rehab for Scout Field Facilities

Legislator Gordon Burrows Bronxville, Yonkers, and Legislator Sheila Marcotte, Eastchester were joined by their colleagues on the Board of Legislators in approving a Bond Act in the amount of $1,932,000 for improvements to the County Park known as Scout Field. The BOL also approved an intermunicipal agreement with the Town of Eastchester to operate and maintain the park.
