Rapper DMX Under Full House Arrest In Westchester

Earl Simmons, the rapper DMX who has been accused of cheating the government out of $1.7 million in taxes, was placed under full house arrest in his Westchester home Friday and ordered to wear an ankle bracelet after court officers found cocaine and other drugs in his system. A Mount Vernon native who grew up in Yonkers, the 46-year-old Simmons lived near the Bedford border on McLain Street in Mount Kisco with now estranged wife Tashera Simmons before putting the home into foreclosure in 2016 after filing for bankruptcy.

Mount Vernon Native DMX Performs For Police ‘Heroes’ That Saved His Life

Mount Vernon native DMX was back in Westchester recently to thank the Yonkers police officers who helped save his life at a local hotel parking lot earlier this year. In February, the rapper was rushed to the hospital after first responders were alerted of a man who had collapsed, wasn't breathing and was unresponsive in the parking lot of the Ramada Inn in Yonkers.

Yonkers, New York rapper DMX recently offered his thanks to the police officers who played a vital role in saving his life earlier this year. In addition to performing a medley of his past hits during the Yonkers Police Department vs. Fire Department's "Toughman Competition" charity event last week, DMX thanked those who were there that night in February with a short speech.
