YONKERS: TheNew York State Society of Professional Engineers, Inc. (NSPE-NY) has presented its 2020 Project of the Year Award to D&B Engineers and Architects, P.C. (D&B).
The award acknowledges D&B’s successful rehabilitation of the one-million-gallon elevated water storage tank on Nodine Hill serving the City of Yonkers.
D&B was honored as ‘a firm committed to improving communities’ quality of life via sustainable solutions and implementation of innovative technologies.’
The NSPE presented the award to D&B at a recent dinner in Westchester. D&B President Steven A. Fangmann, P.E., BCEE commented, “We received this honor with great pride. The D&B team collaborated with all parties in the field and provided construction management and inspection services. Key upgrades included improvements to bring the tank into compliance with ANSI/OSHA standards.”
The four-million-dollar tank rehabilitation project on Nodine Hill improved water quality for consumers, enhanced safety for operators, and upgraded the aesthetics of the structure according to a statement from company officials.
