Macy’s announced it will close at least 28 stores in the next couple months

The ones that will be closed in New York are in Hicksville and Commack, both on Long Island.

Stores in the Hudson Valley were spared, but things had better improve.

In August 2016, Macy’s said it would close 100 stores. Since that announcement, the retail chain has been closing locations as their leases expire.

When reached by reporters, a Macy’s representative did not comment on whether the latest stores were part of its planned closures from 2016.

Recently, Sear closed at Cross County as as retailers have brick-and-mortar establishments that have nosedived in revenue across the nation.
