YONKERS: Nail parlors and hair salons in the city of hills will soon be preparing for a phase two reopening, and there could be some big changes for ladies at these beauty establishments.
Personal care establishments in Yonkers have been closed for months and with a potential phase two of reopening just over two weeks away local beauty parlor owners are ready to do whatever it takes to open back up.
Governor Andrew Coumo has not laid out his requirements yet, but some are saying they may include:
Having a front desk with have a sneeze guard and other bariers.
Maybe plexiglass partitions between each attendant station
Salon workers having to cover themselves in protective gear.
Ladies possibly being forced to wait in their cars to limit the number of people in the store.
And even checking the temperatures of workers and clients might be a good idea.
If Westchester County and the Hudson Valley’s state mandated metrics continue in a downward trend, then Yonkers personal care establishments could possibly reopen as early as June 11th.
